Hailing from Tennessee, Adrienne Bergeron is a graduate of Lees-McRae College, a proud member of AEA, and resident of Baltimore, Maryland. Previously, she lived and worked in Los Angeles and New York City.
Since moving to Baltimore, Adrienne has continued her evolution as a director, choreographer, and educator as the inaugural Director of Arts Education at the Jewish Community Center of Greater Baltimore and Gordon Center for Performing Arts. At the JCC, she has created a culture of inclusivity and diversity for students and staff, expanded the educational programming with a progression of musical theatre training for all ages, created strong relationships with greater Baltimore area artists, and overseen, planned, budgeted, and directed all arts programming and productions. She reenvisioned the Children’s Theatre Production Company and redesigned the Habimah Arts Camp, returning year-round mainstage productions and quadrupling enrollments. Before her position at the JCC, she directed, choreographed, performed, and taught across the country. Favorite directing, co-directing, and choreography credits include: Catch Me If You Can, Nunsense Amen, The Totally Radical 80s Revue, Church Basement Ladies, Matilda Jr, Annie Jr., Frog & Toad Kids, and Dear Edwina Jr. She’s led productions from four actors to eighty, bridging the gap of ages and experience, and always delivering a meaningful show for both the performers and audiences. Favorite performance credits include: Fiddler on the Roof (Chava), Chicago (Go-to-Hell Kitty), Seven Brides for Seven Brothers (Sarah), and Nunset Boulevard (Sister Amnesia). Bergeron is motivated to create both an arts community, and art for the community by bringing innovative, diverse, creative, exceptional, and accessible live theatre to the world. When she is not treading the boards, she loves baking, her puppy Karma and kitty Hilo, and enjoying hiking and foodie adventures with her husband, Matt. |
