Not long ago, Adrienne Bergeron relocated with her husband, bulldog pit mix, black cat and lots of boxes, to Baltimore, Maryland in the summer of 2020. Though this relocation from Los Angeles was for her husbands law school degree, she is excited to be back on the east coast, close to many theatre hubs. Adrienne's husband and she met in New York City loves that Baltimore is such a great marriage between all of the big cities they have lived in!
Bergeron is a graduate of Lees-McRae College and a proud member of AEA. Adrienne was blessed and adored performing regionally but within the last few years, her heart and drive have taken her on the route of being a theatre choreographer, director, and educator. Adrienne has choreographed for practically every age group, dance skill, and shows from 5 person to 30 person musicals. She thrives when creating movement and believes that her talent has a choreographer is rooted in her inate and deep love of teaching. She has an empathy for all ages and dance levels which almost always leads to someone telling her that she's the "the nicest and most patient choreographer they've every worked with". In Adrienne's field of vision, nothing organic or vunerable can been achieved in a threatening or demeaning atmosphere. Keeping a professional exterior, while being understanding in every setting, is her best asset. Adrienne currently serves as the Director of Youth Arts Education at the Jewish Community Center of Greater Baltimore, in Owings Mills, Maryland. In her three year tenure, she has already tripled the theatre and dance programming, both in participants and class offerings. Year around, she not only helps reimagine, hire, and construct a progression of musical theatre and dance education, she also continues to direct and choreograph many mainstage musicals for the JCC. Adrienne has found a love in creating a hub of theatre education that is inclusive and accepting for all. Favorite artistic productions include: Catch Me If You Can (choreographer) at Big Fork Summer Playhouse; Marvelous Wonderettes (co-director and choreographer) and Church Basement Ladies (choreographer) at Cornwell Dinner theatre; 25th Annual PutnamCounty... and They're Playing Our Song (choreographer) for Southern Colorado Repertory Theatre; Annie, and Honk (co-director & choreographer) for Palace Youth Theatre in New Hampshire; Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Annie (choreographer) at Oaks Christian Academy in Thousand Oaks, California; and The Little Mermaid (director/choreographer) at Jewish Community Center in Baltimore, Maryland. |
